The Black Gold Inn is truly a diamond in the rough. John checked us in with ease, and Jason greeted us every day with genuine warmth. And the beds, easily the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. Imagine resting on a cloud… then somehow softer. Most people treat a hotel as just a place to sleep before heading out, but the staff here made us feel so welcome that we almost didn’t want to leave the building at all. Thank you, Black Gold Inn, for your exceptional hospitality, unbelievably cozy beds, endless coffee, and for turning one of our many trips into a truly memorable stay.
This is a nice hotel. The rooms are spacious and have kitchenettes available. The full breakfast is limited. Some paint touch-ups in the rooms and more options for breakfast would bump this to a 5 star rating. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful and also contributed to getting the rating up to 4 stars.
It's honestly not a bad place to stay at. For a stand alone hotel for the price its better than other hotels I've stayed at. I noticed the room needed some attention, but it was clean, the bed comfortable and it was quiet the night I stayed. I'll be giving it another go when I'm back in town
I’ve stayed here twice now. Both times have been wonderful. The staff is super helpful, the rooms are incredibly clean. This will be the place I stay everytime I visit my dad from now on. Definitely recommend to anyone needing somewhere to stay!
My husband and I spent the night of July 21 at the Black Gold Inn. We were pleasantly surprised to see how very clean the lobby and the room was. Much, much better that most 3 star motels. The lady at the desk was very pleasant and willing to accommodate our needs. It was a short 18 minutes from Hallettsville where we were attending a meeting. The breakfast was ready at 7:00 and it was a full breakfast: eggs, bacon, biscuits,cereal, juice, danish rolls, waffles and more. We would recommend this inn for anyone needing a room in the area.
Stayed here for Cattle Country Festival. Great hotel that covers all your basic needs. Friendly staff and felt safe despite being in a remote area.
We came into yoakum for a visit. Have heard good things about this hotel. We had a good experience from the staff to the room. The room was very clean and the staff was very friendly . Well worth the price. We will back for sure.
I genuinely don't understand any bad reviews here. This place is fantastic. The rooms are clean, well kept, have everything you need for a safe and comfortable stay, and the staff is wonderful! Miranda is so sweet and personable. Cassy was patient and kind and the housekeeping was so sweet. We stayed here for 5 days and we met every staff member and they were all so insanely sweet and accommodating. If you need a place to stay in the Yoakum area this is it! If I ever come back to visit this will definitely be our place to stay.
